Getting Married These Days
When two people get married whether in a civil ceremony or religious one, it is called a wedding. This particular tradition has seen a large change in attitude over the last decade. Although the religious aspect is still important to many, it is still very much a legal matter as well. The law requires that the couple sign the marriage certificate in front of witnesses before it legally can be considered as a marriage. Traditionally, the woman getting married is the bride and the man the bridegroom (usually just groom). The terms husband and wife are then the common terms to use after the ceremony.
