7 Creative Personalized Wedding Favors Revealed

by Chrissy Defour

Most couples planning a wedding see their special occasion as deeply personal. And so it should be. One way to express that is to create personalized wedding favors for their guests. It adds a connection to the bride and groom and gives the guests a special memento they can long remember.

There are several ways by which you can personalize wedding favors. The method used is usually dependent on the type of wedding favor to be given away.

You can extend your personal touch down to the very last detail like the place cards. It is a small detail that when taken into consideration, does a lot to contribute to the table's whole motif. It may bring the whole look together.

Holders in the shape of maple leaf are very popular for fall weddings. You can easily add the wedding details - date, names of bride and groom, and wedding location - in the center of the holder. Your guests would love to display the favors on their mantles when they go home.

A Las Vegas wedding calls for a number of things. One thing you may try is giving out decks of cards with your names in it with a logo of the hotel at the bottom. Don't forget to check with the hotel about any copyright or infringement law. Or you can give away shot glasses with poker chip designs or small buckets that contain chocolate poker chips.

With the said chocolate poker chips, you can make them more personalized by having your names and wedding date embossed on the wrapper. Chocolate mint tins also make great personalized wedding favors. And if you don't want chocolate mints, you may put in coffee or tea as favors.

Many favors are wrapped or decorated. That gives yet another opportunity for personalization. A box of party favors might be wrapped with a ribbon that is printed with names, date or a special phrase you use in your ceremony. A bag of candies can be tied with a bow that contains your personal message.

You might be considering tealights, a favorite favor among those planning a wedding. They can be personalized in several ways, too. The bottom of the tealight can be stamped or have a sticker that references your wedding date and names. Even the candle area itself can include text on the bottom that spells out your personal text. The tealight candle melts, revealing your clever design.

And to accompany your tea lights, you can distribute personalized strike matches. You can imprint the outside of the matchbook with your monogram or personal logo while the inside flap can contain a small sketch map to the reception. The names of the bridal couple and the date can be printed on the back.

No matter what gift item you choose for your wedding favor, you can always personalize even if it means only adding a small tag or something. Personalized wedding favors will always be appreciated as guests also like to be reminded on how and where they got a particular item.
